On Selenge’s western bank, you can witness the traditional life of local nomadic tribes. This quiet and peaceful place literally invites you to sit down by the fire, warm up, and rest, watching the flow of the river and enjoying the sounds of nature after a good catch.
There is a large fire pit in the center of the clearing. This small pebbled open space is surrounded by a forest. Apparently, the local waters teem with fish and have long been a favorite spot of the locals. The locals call the encampment Tom Gal, which means ‘Big Fire” in Mongolian. There is a place on the eastern bank surrounded by two narrow distributaries of the river.
